The cases are powder coated galvanized steel, vented to provide cool operation. They have a vibration dampening system for noise reduction. They are very quiet. All ValuLine lighting can be run at 120 or 240 volts. No rewiring is necessary. 240 volt power cords are available below. They will all run either M.H. or H.P.S. bulbs (with the exception of 600w which will run H.P.S. bulbs only.) All ValuLine fixtures feature a detachable lamp and power cord for ease of use and setup. ValuLine Lighting Systems carry a 5 year rebuild or replacement warranty (1 year on the bulb). They are available with many different reflectors to match your needs.

Got the 600w with lumenaire 6 reflector and it works great. Ballast is very quiet and doesnt put off much heat at all. Plan on buying another one soon.

amazon ballast.i got the 1000w 6in. air cooled work great. you cant hear the ballast at all.

I bought the 1000w switchable ballast, and it works great! only thing I wish I would have done was upgrade the reflector to an air cooled one :)

Awesome Company! Fast, Secure, & Reliable. My ballast came with the lumewing ref. but the hps bulb was blown?! It flickered for a few minutes while I waited patiently then the bulb got red hot & started smoking on the inside- crazy! Called them up told 'em what happened and had a new one on my doorstep in no time. Thank you D.H.!!!!!

I bought this to upgrade from fluroescents. I went with the 600 w/ lume wing and hortilux bulb. This thing is awesome. Will for sure order in the future. Maybe something switchable next time for veg. growth.

I got the 1000 watt ballast. The quality is better then I expected. Great Value. I got a lumewing reflector with it. If I could change anything I bought it would be the reflector, I would opt for a better one if I bought this sytem again. Worth the extra money to opt. Other then that great value over all. Good job discout hydro.

awesome ballast, no problems. heavy as all hell, and runs a little on the hot side but its very strong, quick strike, quiet, and reliable.

A very good light system but i recommend buying a back up bulb because my bulb went out in only 12 days of use. Luckily my buddy had an old spare or else i wouldve been in the dark.
